Perhaps it takes
Autism to appreciate water.
My daughter could spend hours
Flicking, licking, dripping.
Source of life
Surrounding us. Mostly unseen.
Feeding, bleeding.
Vapors, steaming, streaming
Do we dare? J. Alfred on the beach.
He would know.
Keep it in our reach.
Lapping, pooling, drooling.
By the shores of Gitchigoomi,
Michigan, Huron, Ontario, Erie.
Superior idea, all.
Sinking, diving, drifting.
Capsized? Capture our capital?
One true source. Resource,
What would be our recourse?
Deluge, downpour, drifting.
Precious flow,
Ergo – don’t let go.
Our life preserver.
Agua. Life-giver. Water.
